AVAL DATA raised its forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 2027, increasing revenue from ¥10.2 billion to ¥12.5 billion, operating profit from ¥1.2 billion to ¥1.72 billion, and net profit from ¥910 million to ¥1.9 billion. The upward revision is believed to reflect a recovery in demand related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
AVAL DATA has risen for 4 straight sessions and has recovered to the ¥4,000 range since the start of trading in April. After the close of trading on the 13th, the company was reported to have raised its non-consolidated earnings forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 2027, increasing revenue from ¥10.2 billion to ¥12.5 billion, operating profit from ¥1.2 billion to ¥1.72 billion, and net profit from ¥910 million to ¥1.9 billion.
The business environment has begun to recover since the end of the previous fiscal year, and the increase in demand related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment is viewed as driving the company's performance. It has also been suggested that gains from the sale of investment securities could contribute as the company proceeds with reducing its strategic shareholdings.
First-quarter results for the April-June period were revenue of ¥3.214 billion, up 75.3% year on year, operating profit of ¥415 million, 4.4 times the year-earlier level, and net profit of ¥316 million, 3.5 times the year-earlier level.
The company announced that it would cancel 353,700 treasury shares effective 31 August, bringing the number of shares outstanding after the cancellation to 6,014,142.
