After the close of the Tokyo market on 21 August, シーイーシー and オリコンHD revised their full-year earnings forecasts for fiscal 2026 upward. Strong performance in projects for government agencies and demand related to disaster prevention and infrastructure are driving the revisions, with both companies expected to post record-high profits.
シーイーシー raised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending January 2027 from ¥7.8 billion to ¥8.42 billion, an upward revision of 7.9%, expanding its projected growth rate from 4.9% to 13.2%. The company also raised its forecast for consolidated operating profit from ¥7.75 billion to ¥8.32 billion, maintaining and building on its forecast for a record-high profit for the fourth consecutive period.
オリコンHD raised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending September 2026 from ¥5.6 billion to ¥5.8 billion, an upward revision of 3.6%. The company now expects a slight 0.4% increase in profit from the previous fiscal year, compared with its previous forecast for a decline. Its forecast for consolidated operating profit was also raised from ¥5.8 billion to ¥6 billion, and it is expected to post a record-high profit for the second consecutive period.
The upward revisions reflect a favorable order environment in Japan and overseas. Orders for both hardware and software measures related to disaster prevention and mitigation, as well as for the maintenance and management of social infrastructure such as roads, rivers and ports, have remained firm. Progress on national resilience policies and growing demand to address aging infrastructure are supporting earnings.
オリコンHD announced that it would increase its planned fiscal year-end dividend from ¥125 to ¥130. The dividend yield is expected to rise to 3.93%, which is also likely to attract investor attention from the standpoint of shareholder returns.
In the market on the 22nd, the share-price reactions of both companies will be closely watched, with the response in PTS (proprietary trading system) trading and subsequent movements in regular trading expected to be the focus.
