Toyota Motor Corporation has announced updates to part of the Crown lineup. The Crossover will launch first on 3 September and feature the fifth-generation hybrid system.
The details announced on 2 September revealed updates to the Crown Crossover, Sport and Sedan, with the Crossover scheduled to go on sale first, on 3 September. The Sport and Sedan will follow on 21 September, while the Estate is scheduled to launch at the end of 2026. The updates are intended to address customer needs more precisely and enhance the appeal of the models by strengthening the characteristics of each grade.
Exterior changes include revisions to the rear design, the adoption of black moulding to create an overall impression of a lower center of gravity, and design changes that black out the bonnet hood and cabin. A new Neutral Black color has also been added.
In terms of driving performance, the latest fifth-generation hybrid system has been introduced to the CROSSOVER Z/G grades, increasing maximum output to 176kW (239ps). WLTC-mode fuel economy has improved to 23.1km/L from the previous model, while dedicated equipment has also been expanded, including paddle shifters as standard and red-painted brake calipers on the RS grade.
Alongside the launch of the Crown (Crossover), the launch schedule for the other Crown models has been set at 21 September for the Sport and Sedan, with the Estate scheduled to launch at the end of 2026. The lineup as a whole is designed to meet a diverse range of needs.
