The wallet profiles of “proovy,” Japan’s first DID/VC platform, have obtained OpenID certification for OID4VCI and OID4VP. The certification combines HAIP 1.0, and is reportedly the first of its kind obtained by a Japanese company.
Recept K.K. announced that its wallet implementation for “proovy,” a DID/VC platform, has obtained OpenID certification for wallet profiles combining OID4VCI 1.0 and OID4VP 1.0 with HAIP 1.0. It is reportedly the first such certification obtained by a Japanese company, and the company is working to create an environment for the use of digital certificates through compliance with international interoperability standards. It also said it will continue supporting international standards.
The company cited the need for appropriate information exchange among issuers, wallets and services in the issuance, receipt and presentation of digital certificates as the background to the certification. It explained that establishing receipt and presentation mechanisms based on common standards will help expand integration with external services.
