Hearing care company GN has announced ReSound Sensia, a new series of premium hearing aids based on its new AI platform. Sensia is designed to automatically highlight the speech the user wants to hear. It incorporates advanced sound environment classification, 4-microphone directional beamforming and DNN-based noise reduction.
Intelligent All-Around and AcoustIQ centrally control and integrate the new feature set while classifying the listening environment in real time. Classification and feature activation have been made more accurate than in previous state-of-the-art solutions, enabling the appropriate features to activate when needed. A new DNN-based noise reduction approach works in conjunction with 4-microphone beamforming.
ReSound Sensia is positioned as one of the world's smallest AI hearing aids and features the company's new AI platform. The integration of listening environment analysis and feature activation is expected to contribute to clinical outcomes, with use in hearing care settings envisaged.
GN has announced ReSound Sensia Bimodal and ReSound Enzo IA Bimodal, designed to work with Cochlear's Nucleus sound processors. The products are part of a collaboration through the Smart Hearing Alliance and aim to improve connectivity and bimodal hearing. They will become available in the US, Germany and Austria from 20 August, with expansion into other markets planned within several months.
