The TSE Growth Index fell sharply for a second straight session, with selling spreading mainly to security-related stocks. Declining stocks accounted for the majority across the Growth Market, resulting in a sharp market downturn.
Both the TSE Growth Index and the TSE Growth Market 250 Index fell sharply today. The figures also showed substantial declines from the previous day, along with trading volume and value, and declining stocks accounted for the majority of listed issues.
Against the backdrop of US stock market trends, selling spread to AI- and semiconductor-related stocks, while selling pressure also emerged amid awareness of rising long-term interest rates. Risk aversion increased across the market, with overall market direction taking precedence over individual catalysts.
Among individual stocks, several issues saw notable profit-taking after sharp rises, including TWOSTONE&Sons, GRCS and SecondSite Analytica. Large-cap stocks also moved weakly, and multiple stocks with high rates of decline were identified.
Advancing stocks included VIs, OnDeck and RenetJapanGroup, among others, while MTG and Digitalift declined. The stock price list also included the top advancers and decliners.
