Mode Designs announced on its official Discord server that it will begin accepting pre-orders for the 98% keyboard “Prologue,” currently in development, at 1:00 a.m. Japan time on Thursday, 17 September 2026. The only new information available at present is the pre-order start date and time; specific details such as the price, color lineup, case and PCB specifications, and other configuration details remain unannounced.
The official Prologue page currently lists only the “98% layout” and the product concept, and says that additional information will be released over the coming weeks. Details such as the pre-order period and shipping schedule are expected to be announced later through the official website and Discord.
Greenkeys has continued to cover Prologue since the teaser was released in February 2026. Following the formal announcement of the pre-order start date, it will continue to monitor the release of further information. This includes development updates on the new Crown Mounting System and comparisons between 8-point and 10-point support.
Further information is scheduled to be released over the coming weeks, with details directly relevant to purchasing decisions, including the price, kit configuration, colors and shipping schedule, expected to be announced as they become available. Buyers will need to wait for further updates through the official Mode Designs page, mailing list and Discord events.
