Viking Japan announced operating details for its 2028 spring Japan round-trip cruises, along with a limited special early-booking campaign for customers who have previously travelled on the company's cruises. Early booking will begin on 15 October 2026, with general sale scheduled for 15 December of the same year.
The new itineraries were designed for Japanese customers and include the 9-day course "Goto, the Island of Prayer, and the Exotic South Kyushu," with 4 departure dates. Planned ports of call include destinations combining nature and history, such as Goto's churches, Unzen and Kirishima Shrine.
Viking Neptune is an ocean ship with 465 rooms and capacity for up to 930 passengers. It is designed on a smaller scale for easier access to ports in Asia. Built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, it features cabins with balconies in every room and a wide range of dining options.
