Tokyo Century and OMRON will launch a new service through a jointly funded company to stabilize power sales from low-voltage solar facilities. The service is intended to secure generating companies’ revenue by storing electricity in batteries during output control and selling it after control is lifted.
Under the partnership, Low-Voltage Storage Services GK, jointly funded by OMRON Field Engineering and Tokyo Century, will be the operating entity, while OSS will handle battery charge and discharge control and aggregation.
Tokyo Century will provide financing functions and offer a financial scheme that can reduce the burden of initial investment. The two companies have partnered on services for high-voltage facilities since 2024, and this initiative will expand their efforts into the low-voltage field as the second phase of that partnership.
OSS has been offering the service on a preliminary basis since May 2026, and the partnership is intended to strengthen its operating structure and service platform. Going forward, the companies are expected to support the stable operation of low-voltage solar power plants and seek to maximize the value of distributed energy.
