Shizuoka Shimbun SBS and Sanyei Corporation signed a comprehensive partnership agreement in September 2026 to support companies in Shizuoka Prefecture as they transition to environmentally and socially conscious businesses. Centered on the co-creation platform SHIZUCONE, the companies aim to promote the implementation of sustainable practices by local businesses and support their transition to ESG management. The initiative is also intended to improve companies’ ability to attract talent and help address labor shortages.
The five main areas of collaboration are support for the implementation of sustainability management by companies in Shizuoka Prefecture, the creation of opportunities for local communities and the next generation to gain hands-on experience, information dissemination through media utilization, the joint development of environmentally and socially friendly products, and the development of locally circulating business models.
Sanyei Corporation will leverage its expertise in sustainable businesses, including the OUR EARTH PROJECT, to support companies in the prefecture in raising environmental awareness and enhancing corporate value through the adoption and brand enhancement of GREEN UNIFORM.
Going forward, Shizuoka Shimbun SBS and Sanyei Corporation will leverage their respective networks to plan and develop sustainable products and locally co-created services that contribute to solving regional issues. They will also expand collaboration with local governments, financial institutions and educational institutions.
