JETRO conducted the J-Twende Côte d’Ivoire Business Co-Creation Mission in Côte d’Ivoire. The mission was part of a Japan-Africa collaboration program launched in connection with the 2025 Tokyo International Conference on African Development, TICAD9, and aimed to create business opportunities by helping Japanese and local companies resolve collaboration-related challenges. Participating companies designated the SIFCA Group as the challenge owner, and opportunities were provided to visit leading local companies and present solutions. The initiative aimed to develop collaboration projects with local companies.
The companies visited included SANIA, PALMACI, SAPH and Comafrique Technologies. The visits covered palm-oil manufacturing and processing technologies, plantation, oil extraction and quality-control processes, rubber plantations and processing facilities, and business areas including the promotion of smart agriculture and medical-device sales. Participants explored potential collaboration with Japanese companies in areas including product value enhancement, wastewater-treatment solutions, irrigation, automation and waste processing.
Participants also attended an investment-environment briefing by the Côte d’Ivoire Investment Promotion Centre (CEPICI) and business-matching meetings with local companies, engaging in discussions aimed at identifying specific business opportunities and developing future collaboration projects.
