チエル will release Version 6.6 of its integrated identity management system, "ExtraConsole ID Manager," at the end of October 2026, adding Box integration for educational institutions. The update will automate the issuance of accounts when students enroll or employees join the company, their deactivation when users graduate, leave the company or are transferred, and their assignment to Box groups based on their affiliation.
The new version, ECIDM Version 6.6, adds Box integration and automates account management for educational institutions across Box. Actions performed from the administrator console, including creating, updating and deleting accounts, will be reflected in integrated services including Box, with the aim of reducing the workload associated with the start of a new academic year.
Box accounts will be issued automatically when students enroll or employees join the company, and automatically deactivated when users graduate, leave the company or are transferred. Users will be automatically assigned to Box groups based on their affiliation, enabling appropriate control over folder sharing to be maintained. When combined with an SSO product, Box login authentication and access control can be centrally managed.
Additional updates include an AD password hook feature, maintenance mode and agent health monitoring, enhancing the stability of integrations and the security of operations.
Box Japan has provided an endorsement welcoming the promotion of the integration, which it views as an initiative supporting safe and convenient use of Box in educational settings. The company plans to continue expanding integrations and promoting digital transformation.
