NOTA Group, operator of NOT A HOTEL, will launch the temporary-use project NOT A MUSEUM, using approximately 2,000 tsubo at the former site of Imperial Hotel Tokyo following the reconstruction of its Tower Building. The opening is scheduled for summer 2027, covering parts of floors 1 to 4 of the building, excluding certain stores, and the project will run for approximately 4 years through March 2031. Its concept is “CULTURE, IN THE MAKING.”, with the aim of creating a new venue for artistic expression, books, music, fashion and film.
NOT A CITY is scheduled to open in front of Yurakucho Station in spring 2027, while the JAPA VALLEY TOKYO project with Mitsubishi Estate is also under way. The concept assigns urban spaces and buildings new roles as cultural and tourism destinations.
NOT A HOUSE, which develops homes for everyday living, has begun accepting reservations for its first prefabricated home, POD. Based on pre-designed spaces, POD is available in configurations from studio to 3 bedrooms, with multiple options for interiors, furniture and workspaces. Building prices start at ¥69.8 million per unit, including tax, excluding land and infrastructure costs. The homes also feature smart-home functions allowing tablet control of smart locks, lighting and air conditioning.
For owners, a paid option is available at ¥16,500 per month, including tax, allowing 3 nights per year at NOT A HOTEL properties nationwide. The proposal links housing and hotels, with owners living in POD in their daily lives and staying at NOT A HOTEL when travelling.
