JX Metals upwardly revised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The company raised its outlook for revenue, operating profit and net income, while also announcing its first-quarter results.
JX Metals upwardly revised its full-year consolidated earnings forecast, raising revenue to ¥1.025 trillion, up 15.9% year on year, operating profit to ¥232 billion, up 32.6%, and net income to ¥141 billion, up 34.7%. The company indicated that its growth strategy, centered on its Focus Businesses, is expected to contribute, while factoring in the impact of reduced mine production caused by adverse weather conditions in Chile.
The forecast also takes into account expectations for a weaker yen and higher copper prices compared with the assumptions underlying the previous forecast. In its first-quarter (April–June) results announced the same day, revenue was ¥260.604 billion, operating profit was ¥81.446 billion and net income was ¥53.07 billion, representing substantial year-on-year increases in profit.
