バルニバービ cut its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending July 2026 from ¥680 million to ¥300 million. It also revised its forecast for the second half from ¥470 million to ¥100 million, resulting in a substantial full-year decline forecast.
After the market close on 28 August, バルニバービ cut its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending July 2026 by 54.8%, from ¥680 million to ¥300 million. The company had previously forecast ordinary profit of ¥620 million for the previous fiscal year, so it now expects a substantial decline.
The company also revised its plan for the second half, reducing forecast consolidated ordinary profit for the February-July period from ¥470 million to ¥100 million. Ordinary profit for the same period of the previous fiscal year was ¥390 million. As a result, the assumption of a substantial improvement in the current fiscal year's decline rate has fallen apart.
The main reasons for the revision were that, although sales in the restaurant business exceeded forecasts, the recognition of sales of real estate held for sale was pushed back to the following fiscal year or later, reducing revenue by ¥360 million and operating profit by ¥145 million. The results were also affected by higher personnel expenses, payment-related costs and system usage fees, the impact of unseasonable weather, and the recognition of ¥100 million in impairment losses at certain stores as an extraordinary loss.
