According to the earnings presentation materials, 東洋ドライルーブ reported higher revenue across its automotive, optical equipment and electronic components businesses. Optical equipment revenue rose 18.6% for the second consecutive year, while net sales for the fiscal year ended June 2026 reached ¥5.412 billion.
At its presentation on results for the fiscal year ended June 2026, 東洋ドライルーブ reported net sales of ¥5.412 billion, an increase of ¥218 million from the previous fiscal year. Revenue increased across all business areas, with optical equipment recording particularly strong growth of 18.6%. The company also explained that its workforce had increased to 532 employees, including those at domestic and overseas subsidiaries.
According to the consolidated results summary, operating profit was ¥675 million, down 13.4% year on year, ordinary profit was ¥916 million, down 6.2%, and net profit attributable to owners of the parent was ¥603 million, down approximately 14.1%. Although the increase in manufacturing costs exceeded the increase in net sales, the company said it absorbed part of the impact of higher costs.
In terms of adoption across the automotive, optical equipment and electronic components businesses, automotive-related products accounted for 54.3% of the sales mix, while optical equipment accounted for approximately 12.6%; electronic components also remained solid. The increase in optical equipment revenue was mainly driven by strong production volumes for camera bodies and interchangeable lenses, while demand for semiconductor-related products and switches in the electronic components business remained firm.
As part of its business innovation initiatives, the company is developing new products at its Technology Development Center. It is also working to improve productivity through the development of environmentally friendly products that do not use PFAS and offer low friction, joint research with universities, and the introduction of robots. The new plant is scheduled to begin operations during the fiscal year ending June 2027, and a stock split was carried out in January 2026.
For the fiscal year ending June 2027, the company forecasts consolidated net sales of ¥5.820 billion and expects revenue to increase. Operating profit, however, is expected to decline because of higher raw material, labor and electricity costs, as well as the start of depreciation on new equipment. By end market, the company expects sales to increase year on year in all three areas: automotive-related products, optical equipment and electronic components.
