At the same time, the company revised its full-year ordinary profit forecast down from ¥1.8 billion to ¥1.5 billion, implying a 13.0% decline from the previous fiscal year, approximately the same amount as the previous forecast.
Based on the first-half results and full-year plan announced by the company, second-half consolidated ordinary profit is estimated at ¥840 million for the October-March period, down 6.0% year on year.
Consolidated ordinary profit for the July-September period, representing the most recent three months, was ¥240 million, down 41.7% year on year. The operating margin on sales deteriorated to 3.1% from 3.8% a year earlier.
