Yokowo announced that its subsidiary Nanshin held a completion ceremony on 9 October for the micro-pipe manufacturing plant it newly established at Yamagata Prefecture's Shinjo Core Industrial Park, and that operations began on 1 September. The purpose is to meet rising demand for semiconductor inspection probes accompanying the expansion of the generative AI-related market.
The new plant is the first full-scale micro-pipe manufacturing facility in Yamagata Prefecture and produces ultra-high-precision microtubes. Micro-pipes are extremely fine tubes with a diameter of 0.04 mm, manufactured using Nanshin's proprietary electroforming technology.
With the new plant's start-up, manufacturing functions previously handled by the Yamagata Sales Office were transferred and expanded, and additional production equipment was installed. Production capacity is planned to reach 3 million units per month in the first half of 2027, with the Yamagata Factory expected to account for approximately 30% of Nanshin's total micro-pipe production capacity.
The Yokowo Group will continue to establish a production system capable of providing a stable supply of high-quality products in line with market demand trends, while pursuing business expansion and enhanced competitiveness in the semiconductor inspection market.
