Toyo Seikan Group Holdings will exhibit at Ethical Expo 2026 OSAKA. Working with 2 student groups, it will provide engaging content that explores food loss and disaster preparedness through familiar packaging containers.
Toyo Seikan Group Holdings will exhibit at Ethical Expo OSAKA, to be held on 17–18 October 2026 at Grand Front Osaka, North Building, 1st floor. Under the theme “Food Loss and Disaster Preparedness Through the Lens of Packaging,” the company will work with the student groups “Mottainai-to” and “OLEA” to offer content that explores food loss and disaster preparedness through familiar “packaging containers,” using an awareness survey and quizzes.
The food loss awareness survey will provide visitors with an opportunity to reflect on their attitudes and behavior together with a student group from Osaka University. A quiz on rolling stock will link disaster preparedness education with the perspective of packaging and encourage visitors to think about disaster preparedness as an extension of everyday life.
In its exhibition overview, the group explains that it is developing products and services that contribute to reducing food loss and preparing for disasters through containers that improve shelf life, including cans and retort packaging.
Ethical Expo is one of Japan’s largest ethical festivals co-created by young people and companies. Led by students and held in collaboration with companies, local governments and NPOs, it provides a place to experience and share new values and lifestyles.
