La Roche-Posay will hold an experiential event showcasing skin science at Hyokeikan, Tokyo National Museum. It will invite 500 members of the general public and introduce its research and patient-support initiatives across 6 rooms.
La Roche-Posay, operated by L’Oréal Japan, will hold the experiential event “LIVING LAB—Living Skin Science Creates the Future of Skin—” on 24 October 2026 at Hyokeikan, Tokyo National Museum, to showcase research in dermatology and patient-support initiatives. 500 members of the general public will be invited by lottery. The event will introduce research and activities addressing skin concerns ranging from infants to people undergoing cancer treatment, and from protection against ultraviolet radiation to approaches for repairing severe skin damage.
Visitors will tour 6 rooms and experience the forefront of research, including the “Legacy” room, which introduces the origins of the brand’s dermatological science; the “Discovery” room, which explains everyday skin damage; and the “Invisible World” room, which depicts air pollution in daily life. Exhibits will also include the “Dream Science Lab,” which introduces the effects of the brand’s skin-conditioning ingredients.
The event is intended to broaden understanding of research, product development and patient support. Yukiko Hase (長谷友紀子), head of the business division, spoke about the importance of helping people understand dermatology and introduced activities including product development incorporating the Safe by Design concept and support for skin-related side effects associated with cancer treatment.
