Vietnamese instant noodle giant Bifon has announced plans to build a food plant and logistics center in France’s northeastern Lorraine region. The initial investment will total EUR 20 million, with approximately 8 hectares of land to be acquired and the project led by local subsidiary Bifon France.
Tan Viet Bifon Group has signed an agreement to acquire approximately 8 hectares of land at Suehm Industrial Park near Verdun in France’s Meuse department. Led by local subsidiary Bifon France, the group will invest EUR 20 million initially to build a food processing plant and logistics center.
Under the new project, traditional Vietnamese foods such as rice noodles, including pho and bun, will be manufactured locally and supplied to the French and EU markets. Over the long term, the group aims to create approximately 200 direct jobs.
The site will include the group’s headquarters, a food processing plant, and warehouse and logistics facilities. Together with local partner Sentai Asiancook, the group will develop a production and logistics hub for Asian foods. It plans to shift products that have traditionally depended on imports from Asia to local production.
The site is located near the A4 motorway linking Paris and Strasbourg, enabling rapid supply to major retail chains across Europe. Through local production in Europe, the group aims to solidify its position as a Vietnamese food brand.
