アスエネ announced that it will present 2 joint studies examining the relationship between sustainability information and corporate value using AI at the Japan Society of Management Engineering’s 2026 autumn conference. The studies were conducted in collaboration with ASUENE AI LAB and the Tanaka Kenji Laboratory of the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, with the aim of applying the data analysis methods and findings to corporate disclosure and business initiatives.
The first study classified ESG news using AI and examined short-term share price movements before and after the news. It reportedly found a tendency for share prices to rise when governance-related news was positive, and to fall when news concerning social issues was negative. The second study used publicly available data on approximately 1,540 companies listed on the TSE Prime Market to analyze the relationship between non-financial metrics, such as CO2 emissions and the percentage of female directors, and subsequent PBR.
Both studies analyze relationships in the data and do not assert that specific news items or disclosure items directly cause share price movements. The presenters say they plan to apply アスエネ’s analytical methods and findings to future consulting support and consideration of information disclosure.
