Toyota partially upgraded the Sienta on 3 August, adding a new color and making cold-weather specifications standard on 4WD models. It aims to differentiate the Sienta from the Freed through fuel economy, maneuverability and day-to-day usability.
Toyota announced a partially upgraded Sienta on 3 August. While retaining its established ease of handling, the company has enhanced its design accents and functionality.
Clear Beige Metallic has been added as a new body color. The exterior now features black accents on the door mirrors, intended to give the vehicle's form a more defined appearance. Cold-weather specifications are now standard on 4WD E-Four models, improving practicality in snowy regions.
Compared with the Freed, the Sienta is said to offer higher WLTC-mode fuel economy of approximately 27.6 km/L to 28.5 km/L, as well as more accessible upfront pricing. Its ability to reduce everyday driving costs is emphasized.
In terms of day-to-day usability, the Sienta offers strong maneuverability with a minimum turning radius of 5.0 m, while the sliding-door step height of 330 mm is presented as an advantage at the time of purchase. Interior features highlighted include fabric materials and design elements incorporated into the storage spaces.
Advanced functions such as Proactive Driving Assist and Advanced Park are touted as safety equipment, with the vehicle positioned as combining everyday usability and comfort.
