Golf Digest Online has partnered with Sauna Ikitai to launch “Sauna Golf Club,” a new initiative featuring golf courses with saunas. The two companies aim to expand the golf experience from a sauna-centered starting point.
Golf Digest Online, a leading golf e-commerce company, entered into a business partnership on 3 August with Sauna Ikitai Co., the company that operates the sauna search website Sauna Ikitai, and launched “Sauna Golf Club,” a new initiative combining saunas and golf. The two companies aim to promote the use of golf courses with saunas and create new leisure experiences.
Under the partnership, a “Book a Golf Course on GDO” button will be added to pages for golf courses with saunas on Sauna Ikitai, and “bookable golf courses” will be added to the search criteria. By creating a user journey that allows users to search for golf courses starting from a sauna and proceed directly to booking, the companies will encourage sauna users to visit golf courses.
The two companies have also launched the “Golf Course Sauna Activity Campaign” for users of golf courses with saunas. The campaign runs from 3 August 2026 to 30 April 2027. Users who post sauna activity updates will receive the proprietary “10 Tonttu” points, virtual backgrounds and the official guidebook. Original merchandise will be awarded by lottery to 3 people each month.
Going forward, the companies plan to sell original merchandise, distribute feature content, expand the booking-slot search function and hold networking competitions.
