フェローテック is considering constructing a new plant after acquiring land adjacent to its existing plant in Kawakita Town, and has announced plans to increase contract manufacturing of components for semiconductor equipment. The investment is believed to be on the order of ¥10 billion. The site measures approximately 16,826 square meters, while the timing and specific operating plans remain undecided.
フェローテック, a Tokyo-based company that manufactures components for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, announced that it is considering constructing a new plant within the eastern industrial park district of Kawakita Town, Sandanda. It plans to acquire land adjacent to its existing plant in September and increase contract manufacturing of ceramic components and semiconductor manufacturing equipment components. The investment is expected to be on a scale comparable to that in the existing plant and is believed to be on the order of ¥10 billion.
Against the backdrop of rising demand for AI semiconductors, the company determined that strengthening production in the town represented an opportunity following the Cabinet decision under the government's Regional Future Strategy to position the Hokuriku area as a cluster location. The site measures 16,826 square meters. The Kawakita Town Land Development Corporation and 髙鍬金庫 agreed to relax their contractual ban on resale and permit the transfer.
The new plant, designated Plant No. 4, is expected to be operated as an integrated facility with the existing Plant No. 3, but the specific plant size and operating schedule remain undecided. A representative of フェローテック said, "We want to continue concentrating our investment in Ishikawa."
