An exclusive agreement has been signed between create restaurants holdings inc. and CB Franchise Systems LLC for the development in Japan of THE COUNTER, a custom burger restaurant originating in the United States. Under the agreement, the companies will have exclusive rights to develop locations in Japan.
The first location in Japan will be THE COUNTER Roppongi, which is scheduled to open in Tokyo Midtown in spring 2017. The store’s official name and location have been reported as confirmed information.
Customers will use an order sheet to choose a patty, cheese, sauce and a wide range of toppings, after which each burger will be handmade in the restaurant. The brand’s “SIGNATUREBURGERS” series is also scheduled to be available.
A Roppongi-exclusive burger is also planned to mark the brand’s first arrival in Japan, with an emphasis on offering custom burgers tailored to each customer’s preferences.
