The NESCAFÉ Gold Blend Barista kotone has been announced, with a launch date of 1 October 2026 and a tax-inclusive price of ¥22,000. Advance reservations will open on the same day, and the product is scheduled to be sold through online retailers including Amazon and Rakuten Ichiba, as well as home electronics retailers nationwide.
The unit measures approximately 10.8 cm wide × 35.0 cm high × 30.7 cm deep and weighs approximately 2.9 kg. Described as the slimmest model in the series' history, it is designed to fit easily into kitchen and living-room spaces. The design was handled by Fukasawa Naoto (深澤直人), while the dedicated app was developed by teamLab.
The main changes include improved noise reduction, a slimmer body and a replaceable coffee tank. The model is designed to reduce operating noise at night, while the tank can be replaced to change the flavor. The coffee tank is sold separately for ¥3,300 including tax, and will launch on the same day as the main unit, 1 October.
A demonstration unit was shown at the launch event. It was explained that the extraction sound is designed to be quieter than that of previous models and that the pump generates pressure of up to 15 bar to produce crema. The dedicated NESCAFÉ app is scheduled to be released on 1 October and is expected to offer features including fine adjustment of coffee strength and water volume, status checks and maintenance support.
