Fujitsu and U.S.-based Palantir have expanded their strategic partnership and strengthened their capabilities for deploying Palantir's AI and data platforms to Japanese companies. Fujitsu has entered into new agreements covering Palantir AIP and Foundry to support domestic customers in operating their data and developing AI applications.
U.S.-based Palantir Technologies and Fujitsu agreed on 10 September to expand their strategic partnership and establish a collaborative framework to accelerate the AI transformation of Japanese companies. The stated aim is to provide Palantir's sovereignty AI architecture to Fujitsu's domestic customers.
Fujitsu has entered into new agreements with Palantir Technologies Japan covering "Palantir AIP" and "Palantir Foundry." Fujitsu will support customers in building their own AI applications and models based on their own data and business processes, while maintaining governance within the customers' own operating environments.
Palantir provides data integration and analytics platforms to U.S. government agencies and businesses. It is also deepening its relationship with the Japanese government, with examples cited of validation exercises in the defense sector and collaboration with government agencies. From fiscal 2024 through fiscal 2025, the Ministry of Defense conducted a validation exercise using Palantir for an "infiltration support platform." The contract is worth ¥286 million, but a decision on implementation had not been made as of July 2026.
As Palantir's Global FDE partner, Fujitsu is strengthening its capabilities to support customers not only with product sales and delivery, but also with identifying business challenges, designing use cases and implementing them in their operations. It is developing FDE talent and promoting the use of AI by combining Palantir's software with Fujitsu's technology and services.
Palantir-related government developments, including the Minister of Defense's visit to the United States and the company's relationships with government agencies, were highlighted, and attention is focusing on future developments.
