N.Avenue club's fifth roundtable of its fourth term will be held in Tokyo, examining institutional and business developments in next-generation finance in Indonesia's 300 million-person market from the perspective of opportunities for Japanese companies.
N.Avenue club, operated by NADA NEWS, is a business community for corporate members that uses monthly roundtables as a platform for inviting speakers from Japan and overseas and deepening discussion. The theme of the fifth roundtable in its fourth term is “How will next-generation finance take shape in Indonesia's 300 million-person market?” Specific issues involved in commercialisation will be examined from both institutional and business perspectives.
The event will be held in Tokyo on 19 November (Thursday) from 16:00 to 18:30, with registration opening at 16:00. A Special Session from 16:00 to 16:40, a Main Session from 16:40 to 17:50 and a Discussion & Wrap-up from 17:50 to 18:30 are scheduled. Applications close on 18 November, and places will also be allocated by lottery.
Markus Liman Rahardja, CEO of BRI Ventures, will speak at the Special Session. Matsuda Akira (松田章良), an attorney at Iwata & Co., and Fukui Keisuke (福井啓介) of CCI株式会社 will speak at the Main Session. They are scheduled to discuss local licensing, partners, revenue models and other points for consideration, taking differences in institutional frameworks into account.
The overview identifies stablecoins, tokenised assets and cross-border payments as developments in new financial services in Indonesia, and sets out plans to organise issues for commercialisation, including initial users and applications, local partners and regulatory compliance.
