TRIAL Holdings operates large discount stores, primarily in Kyushu, and expanded revenue in the previous fiscal year following its acquisition of Seiyu. Operating profit for the fiscal year ending June 2027 is expected to rise 28% year on year to ¥39.0 billion, substantially exceeding the company's previous record profit, according to the earnings outlook.
The company is improving operating efficiency by using its proprietary retail technology and addressing customer needs through its low-price strategy. Market participants view this business model as a foundation for growth.
The company was also selected as a constituent of the new TOPIX, further increasing market attention. In terms of the share price, the premium over the 13-week moving average is gradually narrowing, and some have pointed to a potential buying opportunity.
In the short term, the share price is expected to focus on around ¥4,300, the level of the rebound high on 9 September. From a medium-term perspective through year-end, some believe the stock could also reclaim last year's post-listing high of ¥4,840.
