Starts Publishing Bunko announced the launch of the “Readers' Editorial Department,” in which readers will participate in creating a new work by Manabu Kaminaga. Readers will be able to participate in the entire process, from planning through editing and promotion, with recruitment conducted through Novema!. The editorial meeting will be held once a month with Manabu Kaminaga, MC Amane Haze, Ryu Fujisaki, and others.
The project will be streamed on Manabu Kaminaga's YouTube channel, “Yomitomo,” and the work created by the editorial department is scheduled for publication around autumn 2027. A fiction-writing course by Manabu Kaminaga will also be launched, and a fiction contest is planned.
Applicants mainly in their teens and 20s will be recruited for the Readers' Editorial Department, with 3 selected to participate in the editorial meetings. The meetings will be streamed monthly, making the process of developing future story ideas available to the public.
Starts Publishing Bunko said it will link content creation with promotion through this reader-participation initiative and proceed with publication of the planned work and the course. A new creative model based on collaboration between readers and the production team will be developed.
