JGC Holdings has decided to sponsor Yokohama City’s “Tsunagu Yokohama Pavilion” at GREEN×EXPO 2027, which showcases a circular future for cities and lifestyles. Through the exhibition, it will offer visitors exhibits and hands-on experiences featuring resource-circulation technologies.
The exhibition will focus on 3 initiatives. In addition to presenting Japan’s first mass production of domestically produced SAF, it will introduce biomanufacturing using unused resources such as CO₂ and woody biomass as feedstock, as well as reuse and recycling systems through the “Suruupu” clothing collection service.
JGC Holdings established SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY in 2022 and began mass production of SAF in Japan for the first time in April 2025. As of September 2026, 333 organizations are participating in the Fry to Fly Project.
GREEN×EXPO 2027 will be held from 19 March to 26 September 2027 at the former Kamiseya Communication Facility site in Yokohama.
Under its medium-term management plan, “BSP2030,” JGC Group has identified the expansion of its solutions business as one of its key strategies, and will use the exhibition to showcase initiatives contributing to the realization of a circular society.
