Japan’s WYS Relation and Taiwan’s Ogami Ventures LTD. have entered into a business partnership to promote joint projects focused on the mutual expansion and matching of talent and content between Japan and Taiwan, as well as cultural exchange.
WYS Relation entered into a business partnership agreement with Taiwan’s Ogami Ventures LTD. and announced plans to develop and implement joint projects aimed at promoting the mutual expansion of talent and content between Japan and Taiwan, as well as cultural exchange. The partnership seeks to create opportunities for Japanese talent to work in Taiwan and for Taiwanese talent and content to be introduced in Japan.
The partnership is based in part on Taiwan’s strong interest in Japanese culture, including dramas, music, anime and fashion, as well as the barriers faced by Japanese parties, such as local media, language and business practices. It also points to the limited exposure opportunities currently available to Taiwanese talent in the Japanese market.
The partners will draw on Ogami Ventures LTD.’s local network and WYS Relation’s expertise in talent management to develop mechanisms that enable long-term collaboration between Japan and Taiwan. Specific initiatives will include support for the expansion of Japanese talent into Taiwan and Taiwanese talent into Japan, the planning and production of Japan-Taiwan co-produced content, cultural exchange events, and business matching, including across different industries.
Going forward, the partners plan to broaden their initiatives, beginning with the mutual expansion of talent and extending to the production of Japan-Taiwan co-produced content and the planning and hosting of events that connect fans. In a statement from its representative, WYS Relation said it aims to create an ongoing channel for exchange.
