石野製作所, a leading manufacturer of conveyor systems for conveyor-belt sushi restaurants, announced that it will establish a new plant in Ishikawa Prefecture for products serving overseas restaurants. Production capacity is expected to increase by approximately 30%, supporting supply to restaurants with approximately twice as many seats as those in Japan.
石野製作所 (Kanazawa, Ishikawa), Japan's largest manufacturer of conveyor systems for conveyor-belt sushi restaurants, said it will establish a new production facility in Ishikawa Prefecture for products serving overseas restaurants. The new plant will increase production capacity by approximately 30% and strengthen supply capacity for large restaurants in markets such as Asia, where the company is expanding overseas, with seating capacity comparable to that of restaurants in Japan.
The company has approximately 70% of Japan's market for conveyor systems for conveyor-belt sushi restaurants and also does business with major domestic chains. It also explained that it has been increasing overseas production in line with the international expansion of its customers.
The new plant is expected to influence investment trends among domestic equipment manufacturers as the popularity of conveyor-belt sushi grows overseas. 石野製作所 said it intends to establish a structure capable of meeting future overseas demand.
