SMFL introduced enterprise-focused Vibe Coding and used Replit's technology to shorten customer-specific customization from the previous 6 people and 6 months to 1 person and 1 week. It built a bridging platform to connect with the asset management cloud assetforce, and established a framework in which authentication and authorization are verified, quality is confirmed through deterministic measurements, and personnel make the final decisions.
Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing (SMFL) announced "Enterprise Vibe Coding," using Replit's technology to embed customization functions in assetforce for each customer. This shortened development from the previous 6 people and approximately 6 months to 1 person and 1 week, while establishing a framework in which authentication and authorization are verified, quality is ensured through deterministic testing, and final reviews are conducted by human engineers.
assetforce began external development as an asset management cloud service in 2021 and grew to have paid contracts with more than 200 companies. Under its in-house "Customer Zero" philosophy, SMFL has optimized and delivered customer-facing systems internally. As it expands cloud services related to asset management, it aims to balance personalization with maintainability.
The key technical feature of the development is an architecture that connects assetforce and Replit through ADP, an integration platform, and passes data and operational access only within the authorized scope. To limit duplication of design information arising from development by multiple people, the system divides context by task unit for processing. To improve the reproducibility of generative AI results, an independent quality assurance agent verifies the code, while people make the final decisions based on conventional development rules.
This initiative is linked to a strategy focused on Replit's opening of a Japan office and expansion in East Asia. The book "The Impact of Enterprise Vibe Coding" is also scheduled for publication on 27 November, with a five-year target of increasing related revenue tenfold. SMFL is expected to expand Replit license offerings, customer referrals and corporate training, and the initiative is attracting attention as an example of promoting the use of AI in the enterprise sector.
