ワタキューセイモア completed its demonstration of Japanese-style linen supply at Le Van Thinh Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City and handed over a full set of laundry equipment to the hospital. It will now pursue commercialization for public hospitals through its local subsidiary.
ワタキューセイモア, which operates healthcare and welfare businesses, held a completion ceremony for the demonstration project, “Linen Supply Service Dissemination and Demonstration Project to Improve the Hygiene Environment within Public Hospitals,” at Le Van Thinh Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, and handed over a full set of equipment for managing used and clean linen to the hospital.
The project was carried out under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Support Program for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and SDGs Businesses. Since the laundry center was completed in June 2025, Japanese-style linen supply operations have been conducted for approximately 1 year and 4 months. The volume of linen processed was approximately 72.6 tonnes, with more than 3,170 wash cycles.
In addition to infection-control measures involving high-temperature washing and strict zoning, an operating system was established to track clean and used linen individually using RFID tags. The project also tested the collection, washing and delivery of approximately 2 tonnes of linen to nearby Thu Duc General Hospital.
ワタキューセイモア will now promote the commercialization of linen supply services for public hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City through its local subsidiary, Watakyu Vietnam. On the day of the ceremony, the two hospitals signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation toward the introduction and wider adoption of the service.
