Sun Frontier Hotel Management, a subsidiary of Sun Frontier Fudousan Co.,Ltd., opened “Tabino Hotel Aomori Rokkasho,” a hotel in Rokkasho, Aomori. The hotel has a total of 210 guest rooms in an eight-story steel-frame building and features a local-cuisine restaurant, coin-operated laundry and free parking, among other facilities.
Hotel development in Rokkasho has progressed in response to accommodation demand amid the concentration of energy research and development facilities in the area. The newly opened Tabino Hotel Aomori Rokkasho (a hotel in Rokkasho, Aomori) is the brand's first entry into the Tohoku region and is intended to accommodate visiting researchers and engineers.
The hotel is approximately 40 minutes by car from Misawa Airport and approximately 55 minutes by car from Tohoku Shinkansen's Shichinohe-Towada Station. The site has an area of 4,888.82 square meters, while the building is an eight-story steel-frame structure with a total floor area of 4,713.69 square meters.
The hotel offers five room types, centered on 126 semi-double rooms with a capacity of 2 people and 70 double rooms. All room types are equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven and two-door refrigerator. Semi-double rooms also have a kitchenette, and cooking utensils are available for loan. Facilities include a restaurant, coin-operated laundry and free parking for 160 vehicles.
The hotel was developed under a basic agreement with Rokkasho Village concerning the establishment of a business facility, with the aim of meeting the accommodation needs of people involved in research.
