ヤモリ and 日本海ラボ have jointly established a new company, 富山空き家再生賃貸株式会社, to acquire and renovate vacant homes in Toyama Prefecture and operate them as rental housing over the long term. The company plans to acquire 3 detached houses in 2026 and aims to acquire at least 10 properties annually going forward.
富山空き家再生賃貸株式会社 was established through joint investment by ヤモリ and 日本海ラボ to acquire and renovate vacant homes in Toyama Prefecture and operate them as rental housing over the long term. The company will carry out remodeling tailored to local rental demand and aims to supply high-quality housing at affordable rents.
The company has already announced plans to acquire 3 detached houses in July 2026 and intends to begin recruiting tenants once the remodeling work is complete. Going forward, it will collaborate with regional financial institutions, real estate companies and remodeling companies, among others, with an annual target of acquiring at least 10 properties, thereby promoting regional revitalization in Toyama Prefecture.
The company was established against a backdrop of the growing number of vacant homes resulting from population decline and an aging population, as well as the high vacancy rate in Toyama Prefecture. Its aim is to develop rental housing infrastructure that can be used stably over the long term. With support from the 富山ガス Group, 日本海ラボ and ヤモリ will work together to commercialize the business, with the goal of creating a model that supports the revitalization of vacant homes and the sustainability of the local residential environment.
