LELO held a briefing in Japan introducing its brand and new MONA Spectra product, presenting the features of a self-care device for intimate areas that combines light, heat and vibration, along with the results of a monitor survey conducted in Japan.
LELO HK LIMITED, which operates LELO, a luxury self-care brand originating in Sweden, held a briefing in Japan on 29 October 2026 covering the brand and its new product. In addition to introducing MONA Spectra, the briefing presented the results of a monitor survey involving 37 women in Japan.
MONA Spectra is a self-care device incorporating light, combining red LED light (red light therapy) with heat and vibration. Its modes and intensity can be adjusted through a dedicated app. The device is waterproof and features a sophisticated design, with the company aiming to promote self-care for intimate areas.
The monitor survey found that 89.7% of respondents reported experiencing a moisturising effect in the intimate area after four weeks of use, while 78.9% reported experiencing a moisturising effect when using the device 2 to 3 times a week. After continued use, 91.9% said that insertion of the device was "comfortable and smooth."
Dr. Miyamoto Akiko (宮本亜希子), an obstetrician-gynecologist at BIANCA Clinic and LELO brand ambassador, appeared in the talk session. Participants exchanged views on the importance of treating intimate-area care as part of daily self-care and on the concept of light-based beauty treatments.
