Jolt Capital announced the establishment of a Japanese subsidiary and the opening of an office in Nihombashi, Tokyo. At the same time, it appointed Mori Yasuaki (森康明) as operating partner responsible for its Japan operations.
The company plans to accelerate its business expansion in the Japanese market, building on the circumstances that led to Okada Akira (岡田晃) joining as managing director in September 2024 and its hiring of Tanaka Tomohiko (田中智彦) as a value creation partner in June 2026.
Through the establishment of its Tokyo base, the company plans to support the expansion of Japan's technology, industrial and financial ecosystems, as well as its European portfolio companies, into Asian markets, and to strengthen the identification of local investment opportunities.
Mori Yasuaki (森康明) will be responsible for strategic transaction support and management advisory services in the Japanese market, drawing on his extensive experience in roles at AMD and Infineon Technologies Japan following his graduation from Columbia University.
