According to Bloomberg, Apple may announce a smart home hub on 13 October 2026, with a new HomePod mini and new Apple TV also potentially being announced on the same day.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is expected to announce the 3 products at an event on the same day. The products are said to comprise a smart home hub, a new HomePod mini and a new Apple TV.
The smart home hub is expected to run iPadOS-compatible apps by default and support Split View, which displays 2 windows side by side.
In terms of design, the top-end model may feature a 9-inch display connected to the base by an arm, allowing the display to rotate 360 degrees. The announcement is said to be scheduled for next year or later. The smart home hub is reportedly codenamed J490, and some reports say its design evokes the iMac G4.
The new HomePod mini and new Apple TV are also expected to be announced. The HomePod mini is expected to come in new green and pink color options and feature a new chip. The main change to the Apple TV is also said to be the addition of a new chip, based on the current model. Support for Siri AI is expected to be a key feature of all 3 products.
