Umainde Yaza Fukui Festival, offering the flavors of Fukui through seafood from the Fukui coast, will be held for a limited time from October 1 to November 1 at the Nigiri no Tokubei and Kaisan Atom conveyor-belt sushi chains. The menu features local ingredients including Fukui sweet shrimp, gasa shrimp and grilled mackerel heshiko, along with local sake from Fukui.
A limited-time fair featuring products from Fukui Prefecture has begun at the conveyor-belt sushi restaurants Nigiri no Tokubei and Kaisan Atom. The event is intended to give customers an opportunity to experience the appeal of Fukui through its food and also expresses support for those affected by the heavy rains in August.
The menu centers on seafood from Fukui Prefecture and local dishes, including gasa shrimp, Fukui sweet shrimp, grilled mackerel heshiko, salted sea urchin and cod roe gunkan sushi. Pairings designed to complement local sake are also available, with illustrated descriptions provided.
The sales period is from October 1, 2026 to November 1, and the participating locations comprise 48 stores in total: 39 Nigiri no Tokubei stores and 9 Kaisan Atom stores. The fair is not available at the Tenno, Kuwana, Imaise or Inazawa stores.
Featured items include the Umainde Yaza five-piece platter at ¥1,474, one piece of Fukui sweet shrimp at ¥407, one piece of gasa shrimp at ¥451 and a Fukui shrimp assortment at ¥858. The Atom app’s shared points program is also promoted.
