ニッキ revised first-half consolidated ordinary profit upward, changing from ¥600 million to ¥690 million, with a forecast of approximately 16% profit growth. The full-year forecast was also revised upward to ¥970 million, narrowing the year-on-year decline.
ニッキ announced an earnings forecast revision after the market close on 28 October 2026. Consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second-quarter period (April-September) was revised upward, changing from the previous forecast of ¥600 million to ¥690 million, with a forecast of 16.0% growth from the same period of the previous year.
Following the strong first-half performance, full-year consolidated ordinary profit was also revised upward, changing from the previous forecast of ¥950 million to ¥970 million. Consolidated ordinary profit was ¥1.17 billion in the previous fiscal year, and the forecast decline rate was narrowed, changing from a 19.3% decrease to a 17.6% decrease.
The company explained that the revision reflects expectations that sales will exceed the previous forecast, mainly due to higher sales of general-purpose products for the US market, and that operating profit, ordinary profit and interim net income will all exceed the previous forecasts as the yen has remained weak against foreign currencies.
