Tefal has announced the new EY8228J0 air fryer, a large-capacity model with a 6L capacity scheduled for launch in October. The market estimated retail price is ¥25,800, and it can cook 6–8 servings at once.
The appliance uses a heating system that combines proprietary infrared heating technology with circulating hot air. It rapidly heats the surface of ingredients to lock in their flavour, aiming to produce a crisp exterior and juicy interior. It also features a Crisp Finish button that adds high-temperature cooking at 230°C with a single touch.
It also supports steam cooking by adding water to the basket, enabling oil-reduced, non-fry cooking while retaining juiciness.
The appliance has 6 cooking modes to choose from according to the dish, with simple settings for everything from frying and grilling to reheating. A transparent window and interior light allow users to monitor cooking, while the dimensions are approximately 273 × 375 × 324 mm, weight is approximately 4.65 kg and rated power consumption is 1100W. A recipe book is included.
