MORESC significantly upwardly revised its consolidated earnings and dividend forecasts for the fiscal year ending February 2027, setting the year-end dividend at ¥70 and the annual dividend at ¥95. Following the announcement, buying interest in the stock strengthened around the closing price.
The company announced a significant upward revision to its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027, raising projected revenue from ¥37 billion to ¥40 billion, operating profit from ¥2.4 billion to ¥4.5 billion, and net income from ¥1.55 billion to ¥2.8 billion. The year-end dividend forecast was raised from ¥30 to ¥70, resulting in an annual dividend forecast of ¥95.
The company said the revision reflected increased sales of oil products, including die-casting lubricants, as automobile production volumes increased at locations excluding China, progress in price adjustments in response to higher raw material prices, and higher sales of high-value-added products such as hard-disk surface lubricants for data centers. The streamlining of unprofitable products in the hot-melt adhesive division also contributed.
The interim results for the six months ended August, announced at the same time, were revenue of ¥19.625 billion, operating profit of ¥2.457 billion, and net income of ¥1.516 billion.
