TOYO Corporation has decided to install IQM's superconducting quantum computer, IQM Radiance20, at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology's (AIST) G-QuAT research center. Operations are scheduled to begin in early 2027.
TOYO Corporation has decided to install IQM Radiance20, purchased from IQM Quantum Computers, at AIST's Global Research Center for Quantum-AI Technology Business Development, known as G-QuAT. This will be the first case in Japan in which a quantum computer introduced as a private company's own asset is made available to a domestic research facility.
TOYO Corporation entered into a lease agreement with AIST on 6 August 2026. IQM Radiance20 is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026, with operations expected to begin in early 2027. The aim is to promote joint research and the development of use cases involving companies and organizations in Japan.
G-QuAT is an AIST research center dedicated to advancing the convergence of quantum technology, AI and high-performance computing, and aims to serve as a core hub for building an ecosystem that accelerates the implementation of quantum technology in society in Japan. TOYO Corporation will continue to work with partners in Japan and overseas to promote the adoption of quantum solutions.
