和源酵素, a food with function claims containing plant-based enzymes and Plasma Lactobacillus jointly developed by 日本盛 and Kirin, will go on sale through 日本盛's official online shop and mail-order catalog from 14 September 2026.
日本盛株式会社 and Kirin Holdings jointly developed 和源酵素, a food with function claims that combines plant-based enzymes derived from 日本盛's fermentation technology with Kirin's Plasma Lactobacillus, and set the launch date for 14 September 2026. Against a backdrop of the companies' long-standing fermentation research and growing interest in immune care, the product is being proposed as a new approach to maintaining healthy habits.
The product uses a plant-based fermented extract made by fermenting and aging more than 130 ingredients, including vegetables, fruits, wild plants and seaweed. Its key feature is that it is made without using water, allowing the ingredients' inherent properties to be retained. As a food with function claims, it contains Plasma Lactobacillus and is claimed to support the maintenance of immune function.
The recommended daily intake is 3 tablets, providing 100 billion Plasma Lactobacillus cells. The pack contains 93 tablets, equivalent to a 31-day supply. The price is ¥4,940 before tax, with a tax-inclusive price also provided. The product is marketed by 日本盛 and sold through its official online shop and mail-order catalog.
日本盛 highlights its fermentation technology, developed from sake-brewing expertise passed down since the Edo period, while Kirin is described as a company that has conducted immune research for many years. The product description also makes clear that this is a food with function claims, not a food for specified health uses.
