Autobacs Seven has announced the start of order-taking for the new Lean3 (Lean 3) three-wheeled EV. The ultra-compact vehicle measures 2,470 mm long × 970 mm wide × 1,570 mm high, and is priced from ¥1.698 million.
The new Lean3 is a small three-wheeled EV developed by Lean Mobility, a startup founded in 2022 by Toyota alumnus Yanaka Akihiro (谷中壯弘). It is positioned as the first model under RideRoid and aims to establish a new category of urban mobility.
The exterior features a sharp triangular profile measuring 2,470 mm long × 970 mm wide × 1,570 mm high. The interior has a practical layout with the driver's seat in front and a luggage area in the rear. It is equipped with wraparound glass, a digital instrument cluster and air conditioning, and was designed to enable comfortable travel in rainy weather and across all seasons.
Its three-wheeled configuration provides steering through the two front wheels and drive through the single rear wheel. The proprietary Active Lean System improves stability when cornering. The top speed is 60 km/h, while the maximum range is 100 km under WLTC. The vehicle can be charged from household 100V or 200V outlets. The vehicle price starts at ¥1.698 million, including consumption tax, with sales consultations and purchases expected to be handled at Autobacs CARS stores.
