Sundrug’s Hokkaido subsidiary will open a new store in the Togishi district of Noboribetsu. The number of stores in Hokkaido is expected to reach 80, with the new store opening between nearby Tsuruha Drug and Satsudora stores.
Sundrug announced that its Hokkaido subsidiary, Sundrug Plus, will open Sundrug Noboribetsu Togishi Store in mid-December 2026. The number of stores in Hokkaido is expected to reach 80, and this will be Sundrug’s second store in Noboribetsu.
The store will be located along Hokkaido Prefectural Route 782 in Togishi, opening in the existing premises of the former Fashion Ichiba Sanki Noboribetsu Store, which closed on 12 October 2026. Nearby stores include Tsuruha Drug Noboribetsu Togishi Store and Satsudora Togishi Store, approximately 300 meters away. Sundrug will fill the gap between these two stores.
Sundrug’s recent store-opening trend has been characterized by frequent openings near existing Tsuruha Drug stores. This store will also open near Tsuruha Drug, but with Satsudora nearby as well, the three chains will compete in close proximity.
Sundrug already operates Noboribetsu Arnys Store in Noboribetsu, as well as Muroran MORUE Nakajima Store in Muroran. The new Noboribetsu Togishi Store will be Sundrug’s second store in Noboribetsu and its 80th store in Hokkaido.
