As part of enhanced login authentication for Kanpo My Page and the Kanpo app, two-factor authentication has been made mandatory when a passkey is not used. Users must enter an authentication code in addition to their ID and password. Using a passkey allows users to log in without two-factor authentication.
As part of enhanced security when using Kanpo My Page and the Kanpo app, authentication has been changed so that customers who do not use a passkey must complete two-factor authentication, including an authentication code, when logging in. In addition to their ID and password, they must now complete an additional authentication procedure.
Using a passkey allows users to log in securely without two-factor authentication, and guidance has been provided to encourage the use of passkeys in future settings. Users who have not configured one are being advised to consider setting up a new passkey.
The revision is intended to improve service-user security. Information on Japan Post ID registration status and passkey adoption has also been provided on the frequently asked questions and notices pages.
